We invite you to the lecture by Edward M. Królikowski.
Lecture will be presented in English
Presentation will be about Poles that fought in the Revolutionary War; in particular Generals Pulaski and Kościuszko. He will talk about background that brought them to the American colonies for the war, their participation as well as their legacy.
Mr. Królikowski was one of the founders of the Savannah Gen. K. Pulaski Committee of the ACPC and has been its chairman for 9 of its 10 years. In the 2005 re-internment of Gen. Pułaski’s remains in Savannah’s Monterey Square, Edward served as Poland’s Bishop Płoski’s personal interpreter.
As a volunteer for 5 years at Ft. Pulaski National Monument, in addition to his other duties, Edward gave tours in Polish and created programs that educated visitors on Gen. K. Pułaski and the role he and other Poles played in the Revolutionary War.
Two of Edward’s hobbies include collecting Polish stamps and coins. In addition, he has translated several history books from Polish to English for personal edification as well as for English-only readers interested in the book’s topics. Edward loves sports and played for the Polish-American soccer club Chicago AAC Eagles, amongst others.
