From the President…

Year 2003 can be characterized as a year of new opportunities and unprecedented growth for the Polish Club of Atlanta. Several new volunteers joined the Board of Directors bringing enthusiasm, new ideas and new activities. The cooperation with such organizations as the Chopin Society of Atlanta, High Museum, SciTrek Museum, or Woodruff Center has developed. In addition, many of our existing functions, especially the School, the Newsletter and the Internet site showed great progress. The Mission Statement has been formulated and realized in all the Club’s functions. On the verge of 2004, the Polish Club of Atlanta is a strong and mature organization thanks to all who participated in its development. Their efforts, honesty, selflessness, dedication to Polish community, willingness to help in any situation, their BIG HEARTS, which gained them my highest admiration and respect, are the creators of today’s Club status. My dearest friends from the Polish Club of Atlanta Board of Directors, I feel honored and privileged to know you and to have had a chance to work with you. Thanks to you I will have great memories.

I am looking to the Club’s future with a great dose of optimism. After almost seven years of active service for the Polish community, in order to dedicate more time to my family and to my professional life, I decided not to submit my candidacy for the new Board of Directors. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you, members and supporters, for your confidence, moral and financial support for the organization I had the privilege to be a President of, and the assistance and friendship I personally enjoyed. There would not be a strong organization without a strong support from you. Please show your support for the new Board of Directors that will be elected on January 24th, 2004. There are many great Poles living in the metro Atlanta area and I am confident that the Club will continue to grow and flourish. I am sure that the Polish community and Poland will win over new supporters among Americans and gain respect for the professionalism, honesty and highest quality represented by our organization. I hope to see you at the numerous Club events.

On behalf of the Polish Club of Atlanta Board of Directors
I wish all of you and your families Happy Holidays
and a Happy New Year 2004.

Do Siego Roku!

Barbara Leszczyński
President of the Polish Club of Atlanta
