We wish to have John Paul II avenue in Atlanta
Below: What's been done? How you can help?
(Updated: May 3rd, 2005)

The Polish Club of Atlanta would like to ask you to join us in recognition of John Paul II, a man who was committed to human rights, who touched millions during his lifetime, whose charisma will inspire freedom loving people for generations to come, most notably his contributions toward the dismantling of Communism and his fight for peace, freedom, tolerance and moral values.

We feel that honoring Pope John Paul II, his life and his many contributions to humanity, may best be done by renaming a major street, such as the newly revitalized 17th Street in Midtown Atlanta or any major highway after this great man.

Due to the importance of this initiative, information on the progress and ideas will be updated frequently.
