The Club is opening Classified Ad Section on this Website

A year ago we created a new look for the Club website. We already had a plan to have a classified section with small ads that would contain information about mainly Polish businesses and also be an inexpensive way place private ads. However, as each undertaking based on a voluntary work goes slow so it was also the case here. Also, a new section of our website could not be opened until we had more volunteers to work, since the current workload was more than enough for the webmaster.  Fortunately, a new person volunteered to do the job and it constituted bases for this website expansion.

We are pleased to present to you the Classifieds section where ads can be placed by just anybody. Club membership is not required. Of course, the members have discounts and privileges including one free ad per year; but free ads can also be placed by people seeking employment and students wanting to babysit. The ad can be text only or it can include a picture, which is an attractive form to advertise a car or house for sale. The businesses and persons having websites can include their hyperlinks and this way make their ad more attractive and extensive. Since our website contains both English and Polish versions it may be advantageous to advertise in both languages. In this case you need to do the ad translation youself.

Cost of ad placement varies from $0 to $14 for text ads and is up to $10 more expensive when it contains a picture. The payment can be made by a check or via PayPal with a credit card. The ad can be on the website for up to a year. If it becomes outdated before expiration date there is way to request its deletion.

Visitors that want to see the ads have an easy way to find this what interests them the most. Others, who read the ads regularly can instead display the ads published most recently. These will be grouped in one place and stay there until the next ad publishing time which should occur in the beginning and in the middle of the month. You can already see some ad examples. These are bogus ads that will be deleted during first true ad publication scheduled for the beginning of October.

More information can be found in the Classifieds section that can be invoked by a click on a button at the top or bottom of each web-page. We ask you to pass this information to anybody who might be interested including your own children willing to earn some money for babysitting.

At last, I would like to introduce to you the person that volunteered to service this section of the website. Marcin (Martin) Krauz is a student of Georgia State University and lives with his wife Joanna near the Lake Lanier. We all thank him for making himself available to us. We surely can all benefit from his hard work. We wish him a great success. At the same time I take the opportunity to announce once again that I would like to get to know more volunteers like Marcin willing to work on our website.
